Under glittering waves of a vast ocean blue, a beautiful world is hidden from view. And there, in the cool and the quiet of the deep, a great, gentle giant was stirring from sleep . . . Humphrey the whale is on a quest: to find the one perfect object that will make him feel complete. He roams far and wide, gathering endless undersea treasure as he goes. Yet, no matter how many goodies he accumulates, Humphrey still doesn’t feel content. Could it be friendship, not possessions, that will really make Humphrey’s heart sing?

I love the colours in this book and how the whale finds out that he doesn't need all the shiny items in the sea because he would still be lonely without his friends who are the biggest treasure he could have

I loved how the whale was searching for lots of shiny stuff. It was good that the whale learned not to keep on taking things, but to do things that filled up his heart .

It was a nice story which taught you that you don’t need everything.

It’s a really good book with an important message. The illustrations are amazing. Sometimes I found the rhyming pairs a bit forced, same with other books by this author.

I kind of liked it. I didn’t like all the scary creatures and angry fish but I did like the happy whale at the end. It made me feel happy.

I lked the little brave crab Crystal because she was not scared of the big whale.

An excellent read about a whale who continues to collect "things" when a crab suggests he "gives" instead. Lovely story linking contentment to having less.

I liked the clever crab who made the whale think if his feelings and stopped him from just collecting things. It was interesting to know that you can be happy just being nice to others and how the whale made friends and became a happier self. Yes I recommend it.
