A terrific environmental escapade from acclaimed author Emma Shevah! 'A truly excellent eco-adventure.' M. G. Leonard This story isn't just about birds. It's about secrets, the seaside, how seagulls can trick worms into thinking it's raining. It's about mucus, fudge and dogs needing a wide variety of sniffs. But if you want the simple version, it's about what happened here last summer. How a girl called Ivy and a boy called Nathaniel solved a mystery and saved the world's animals: one at a time ... A brand new topical and heartfelt middle grade adventure from the critically acclaimed writer of Dream on, Amber and Dara Palmer's Major Drama. A terrific positive-action mystery in the wake of Greta Thunberg - perfect for eco-aware young readers!

Every chapter was called either Ivy or Nathaniel, depending whose perspective it was from; I found that quite interesting. I liked that there were lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of facts. Ivy and Nathaniel were both very interested in animals and Ivy could even talk to animals. I think that children aged from 7-12 would particularly enjoy this book.

This book was good because it was a fiction story, but it had a lots of awesome, mind blowingly good facts. The person I liked the most was Ivy because whatever happened she would still do her best to protect the environment. I would recommend this book to someone else because I think it's a good idea for people to learn more about environment and you can learn from the book that whatever happens you should never give up on your dream.

A really good story, An autistic boy meets his mother for the first time in years, but her messy, unorganised life is a total world away from his life with his grandmother who knew just how to make him feel safe and that he had to have his beans on toast spaced apart just right. When he meets Ivy they think they could never be friends, but Ivy needs his help to gain the animal's trust again and he needs hers to help him connect with his mother. Can they save the world, and the big thing that is coming?

I read this book with my mum. We both loved it & found it very different to others books I tend to choose. I am on the eco committee at school & I am a big fan of recycling, I think that's why I enjoyed this book so much. The two main characters were on a mission to save animals & it has inspired me to help!

I think that this was a really good book which is why I rated it 5 stars. It was funny, and had lots of interesting facts wound into it so it was very enjoyable. My favourite characters were Ivy and Nathaniel because Ivy cared a lot about saving the planet and so did Nathaniel but he read a lot so knew a lot of random facts about the animal kingdom which I really liked. Exploding ants are cool! I would definitely recommend this book to people who like stories about animals, learning facts, and humour.

I love this book because it draws us to save our planet Earth and like nature and if we don't have nature we won't live in our planet.

I really recommend this book as it inspires us to think about the wildlife around us and how we are privileged to have breath-taking wildlife and how simple and little everyday changes can change our forests and jungles for the better .

Ivy believes she can talk to animals, while Nathaniel is obsessed with animal facts.

This story teaches to save the animals. Otherwise all will be extinct which could bring imbalance in the nature.

I loved this an interesting , fiction and adventure story. I learnt we should do our best to make the world better by helping nature example animals are also part of nature. Save animals life otherwise they will be extinct and the balance of nature will bring a disaster. I would definitely recommend others to read this story.
