This book was brilliant. It’s the fifth book in the series “Adventures on Trains” and it is very good, just like all the others. Train detectives, Harrison Beck and his Uncle Nat, are travelling aboard the Solar Express. The Solar Express was the winning design of a train competition, won by 14 year old Boaz. I would recommend this book to people who love thrilling mysteries and adventure stories.

This book was full of mystery, detective work and danger. All the characters had many different personalities and some committed mutiny and one tried to sabotage the train! I recommend this book to anyone who is eight +. I really enjoyed the book because it was very interesting and descriptive.

When the Solar Express gets hijacked by the so called 'old man', the back-up cart gets launched taking Woody, Marine's bodyguard, the hijacker and the TV crew. But what will the passengers do?

I loved it! It made me feel like it was actually in the book. I also loved the elements of science. I learned all about hydrogen and the effects it has on other gases. I recommend it to anyone who likes trains, adventure, science and mystery.

This is a very exhilarating and breath taking book. I was very impressed when I finished it earlier because it made me aghast at what had happened. I was very surprised and in awe when I finished it. I think that it could have been improved by explaining what things are, such as a locomotive, which my dad told me was a train-which explained a lot!

I really liked this book , in fact I liked it so much I ordered the sequel and I even want to to get the third one! My favourite character was Boaz Tudawali because always seemed really chilled out about everything even when he found out that his own train was on out to blow up and destroy a cultural monument built by the aboriginals! I also liked his little sister JJ because she didn’t really understand what was going on so she always acted normal.
