Reviews

I loved Mercy and her brother, who were taking care of the hippo by all means. I didn't understand why the villagers were so mean. I discovered also a mistake in the book: it has 5 chapters, but in the beginning it is written it has only 4.

This is a fiction book. I enjoyed it- it was about a hippo and two kids helping the hippo. They moved countries with the hippo and he ended up living in a zoo. He was happy.

It was a fiction book in my favourite person in the book was Merci, it was an interesting book because the hippo’s pool was drying out but merci and his brother put water in the pool so the hippo won’t die. I would recommend this book to someone else because it was very interesting.

I liked when they saved the hippo and also I really liked it when they made it to the lake and they got a dink of orange soda and they tipped 10 bottles of water over Clara the hippo.

I liked Mercy the best in this book because when she saw the Hippo she felt sad as all the villagers had taken it and it nearly died twice. I would recommend this book

I like Mercy the best because she makes me laugh. It interested me because it was really fun. I would recommend it to someone because it was a really nice story. I didn't give it 5/5 as it was a bit too long.

I thought it was a very good book because it tells me about a hippo. My favourite person in the book is Mercy because she wants to help animals and she ignores the bully's. I would recommend it to someone else because it a really good book to read . And it tells me information about hippos. It is factual because it says hippos live in water and they do. It interests me because it tells me about hippos.
