Excellent, informative non-fiction book covering many mysterious sightings and events. Each case file begins with a 2 page spread introducing and summarising the sighting or event. The following 2 page spread discusses the evidence, likely theories and offers further similar mysteries to investigate. The whole book is beautifully presented with eye-catching illustrations and a crime scene investigation style layout with drawings of post it notes, string and drawing pins and notes circled in red pen. The text is split into easy to consume chunks. Where unusual or technical vocabulary is used a handy definition is included explaining the pronunciation, origin and meaning of the word. These are also collected in a glossary. This book will inform and delight anyone who enjoys reading about a strange ghost story, mysterious monster or unexplained disappearance and be a great starting point for further research.

I thought the book was very interesting because it explains about thing the could not be real. I loved the book. The best bit was the facts about the curses.

I like that all of it actually happened in real life. I liked that it tried to explain why things might have happened. My favourite mystery was Versailles because I think it is cool that they might have had a view several hundred years into the past.

This book was very, very interesting and there was a lot of information to learn about. I liked the part about Bigfoot and the people who claim to have seen him and all the evidence that makes it possibly true. There were good illustrations too. You should read this book!
