Very scary but exciting. It was about this girl that want a to be normal but her grandma wants her to guide the dead. then her grandma disappears and the girl has to take care of the running house and the dead. My favourite person is the girl because she has a strong heart and is independent. I would recommend this beautiful book with all my heart .

I liked this book because the house walked on chicken legs which is totally crazy and awesome. The house also kicked the main character, Marnkna, into the sea!!

I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it to anyone else looking for a exciting, easy to read, adventurous story. I thought this book was quite sad at times because Marinka was only able to have the same friends for a short period of time before the house moved on.

I loved it so much. The author really gripped me with the story line and I thought it was an interesting book the whole time. I loved when she made a friend and took care of his adorable lamb. I also thought it was emotional when her nan disappeared while helping her ghost friend go through the portal.

It was a very exciting book with a lot of twists and turns. The main character always had about a billion emotions at once! My favorite character is the raven Jack. He was always over reacted when he got upset and is always sticking dead things in peoples ears. I think people who liked the story Baba Yaga would like this one very much. It was a very interesting and enjoyable and I hope people will like it too.

This book has twists and turns in every corner. It is sad in some parts but intriguing in others. My favourite characters are the house because it shows it’s personality and feelings in interesting ways and Jack because even though he shows it in unusual ways, he really cares about Marinka.
