I thought this book was very funny because the mum always told Mariella to go to bed in the middle of inventions and she put up lampposts to trick the mum

It was amazing. She didn’t want to go to sleep and then she fell asleep for 3 days and 3 nights!

A very good book - Mariella is very inventive and has great ideas. She decides to make a flying suit to outrun the darkness so that she could stay awake all the time. It was funny when the speedometer (made from a washing machine) told her how fast she was going and that she was out of fabric softener. Mariella is the main character - she's someone I would want to be friends with. I'd recommend this to my friend.

I like this book but I rated it a 4 becacause the chapters were so short. This book was about a 9 year old girl and she is an engineer and she tries to travel around the world. But whilst she was doing her quest her machine broke but she had no ideas but after that she fell asleep and found ideas and could carry on the quest. I wish the chapters were long.

I didn't like this book because it was mainly about Mariella not wanting to sleep, Bedtime no more words are constantly being repeated though out the book which i found to be really annoying

I don’t really like this book because it’s a bit silly. Mariella likes to invent things, like she tries to invent a banana opener, but her mum tells her that’s what fingers are for. She doesn’t like to go to bed at night so she tries to invent something to stop you going to bed at bedtime. My favourite character in the book is baby Harrison because he is very cute. I wouldn’t recommend this book because I didn’t enjoy it very much.
