Reviews
My favorite character was Maple and my favourite part of the story was the end where you find out that Blue Wing is a ghost.

It was pretty good. But they discarded the second mains gay potential and it was a bit too meaty for me

It was a very good read because it described landscape and creatures very well. I like how it uses other languages though out the story and that it focused on different perspectives and religions. I love the plot and how it was wonderfully brought together at the end. The way they used suspense to keep me interested was used very well.

THE SHARK CALLER by ZILLAH BETHELL I think this book is really well written and is full of suprises especially the twist at the end. The book starts with a girl called Blue Wing who lives on an island in Papa New Guinia. An american girl arrives on the island. At first the girls hate each other but then become almost sisters at the end. Please read if you like book genres such as: Freindship Adventure Twists Animals

Desperate to become a shark caller to avenge the death of her parents, Blue Wing is instead charged with befriending infuriating newcomer Maple. At first they are angry and out of sync with the island and each other. But, can they overcome their differences and conquer the deadliest shark in the ocean? I would recommend to ages 8 - 11 though I wouldn't bother reading it if you are a person who doesn't like reading through pages again and again. That's because some of it is written in the language Papa New Guinean, where it is set, and you will have to keep referring back to the first few pages.
