Another great story by Raymond Briggs, this sequel to Father Christmas this time he goes on holiday, as he tries out different places, and the different local foods and weather. Travelling by reindeer and his home made camper van. And ending up in a fancy hotel. It’s a fun story and I recommend it

This is a wonderful follow-up to the Father Christmas book. After working so hard on Christmas Eve, Father Christmas is ready for a well-earned holiday. He converts his sleigh into a camper van then sets off with his deer on holiday. But in each country he visits, he is soon spotted and has to move on. After spending time and enjoying too much food in France, Scotland and Las Vegas, it is soon time to head home. Young children will love the grumpy Father Christmas. The illustrations and comic book style bubbles make this book easy to enjoy for even young readers.

I enjoyed this funny book by Raymond Briggs. I would rate it 4 stars because it had lots of funny parts when he travels abroad to the south of France, Scotland and Las Vegas. He converts his sleigh into a campervan, ran by the trusty reindeer. All sorts of mischief occurs, when any children become suspicious of this man - could he be Father Christmas? But when he gets home after his long holiday, he's already getting post from children asking for toys for Christmas! Father Christmas may be away, but he always knows when to come back in time for Christmas. I would recommend this comic book for boys and girls aged 5-9, who like comics, summer and Farther Christmas.
